If it's true that cats have nine lives, then Catra probably does too - but she's burning through them pretty fast

Growing up trans in the Fright Zone wasn't difficult. At least, not when it came to grown ups and The Hoard as a whole. Few adults were against the concept and so long as you were still useful, Hordak couldn't care less. Hell, in Adora's position, it actually made some things easier, with Shadow Weaver doting on her more than ever before. However, that doesn't mean kids, and the outside world, won't be cruel.

In other words, this is a Trans!Adora fic and I don't have any real outline here we'll be following roughly the same arc and major events as the Netflix reboot.

“What the hell is this?” she asks from her position on Glimmer’s floor (she hasn’t been able to sleep on her own since she was like twelve, sue her). She frowns and points to the writing, stretching her wrist up so her best friend can see the freshly inked skin.

Glimmer takes one look at her wrist and says, “Shit.”

On the day of Adora's eighteenth birthday, she finds out soulmates are a thing.

Adora is a jock and Catra is a punk; opposites attract but never has unrequited love been harder than this.

A sudden and devastating betrayal by her closest friend and partner broke something deep inside Adora. Working night and day for the CIA, against the terrorist organization known as The Horde, she tries to put herself back together, and decipher who she is without her second half. After all, what's a spy without her partner?

Shera and Catra are two OC's created by a pair of best friends and foster kids Adora and Cat to retell their lives as a dystopian story. It was theirs together, but when Adora leaves and tries to end that story, the two begin to fight.

What if Catra was the one to find the Sword of Protection in the Whispering Woods? What if she was to be Etheria's hero and restore balance? What if she was chosen to fight for the honor of Grayskull? As of now, this is only planned to be a Two-Shot story.

Adora finds herself telepathically bonded with Catra after an accident with her sword, meaning they can hear each other's every thoughts. Adora's determined to reverse whatever magic caused it, but Catra's stubbornness proves difficult to work around. The two find out just how much a person can learn by someone's thoughts.

Adora finds a magic sword, accidentally joins the Rebellion and somehow turns into an eight-foot-tall warrior lady. All in about two days. Now there's making sure no one finds out she's from the Horde or that she has no idea what's she doing. Oh and making sure Catra doesn't cause too much trouble. That's not too hard right?

Still, she can't help but wonder, what ever happened to Catra? Would she see her again some day?

Catra is reluctantly recruited by Adora to dethrone Hordak in exchange for an end to the War. But is Catra mature enough to preside over Peace in Etheria? Or will she succumb to her darker instincts until she drives away all her friends and the Peace is destroyed?

Adora and Catra had spent a magical, fun summer camp getting to know each other and building their friendship - when they were 11. Now, they're both 17 and meet again, after years without speaking a word to each other. The ones to blame are Adora's friends: Dragging her along to a double date to a prom of a different high school.

This piece should take place during episode Battle for Bright Moon which is the last episode of Season 1 so spoiler alert.

Following the Battle of Brightmoon, the war for the future of Etheria has become a grim deadlock. Hordak plans to break the stalemate by manipulating Catra and leveraging her complex relationship with Adora, in an attempt to bring the latter back to the Fright Zone. But none of the major powers of Etheria are ready for the consequences of Catra infiltrating Castle Brightmoon - as the bond between Adora and Catra develops, both of their allegiances will be tested, and neither will see the world as they once did.

It's Adora, Glimmer and Bow's first time on a mission since The Battle of Bright Moon, and all of them can't help but feel excited about once again helping the people of Etheria. On the way through the Whispering Woods, Glimmer and Adora fess up to the feelings they've been holding for each other for the past month after a bit of harmless flirting gets serious. But when things go south during the fight, Adora is the one who suffers the consequences of the Horde's wrath and is left with no memory of who she is or her past with both the Horde and the Revolution, leaving Glimmer and Bow to pick up the pieces.

Rebuilding friendships are easy, but rebuilding someone's entire life is a little harder to fix, especially if that someone is a girl chosen by The First Ones to protect the entire planet. Can Glimmer and Bow remind Adora of who she really is before Etheria needs She-Ra again?

Adora likes Glimmer and Bow likes Perfuma. Glimmer is torn.

There was one thing that Catra knew for sure and that was Adora always tried to leave on good terms with her exes. She was friends with all of them, whether she saw them again or not. She didn’t like having bad blood with people and that included her ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends. That was probably why she was so well liked. Catra didn’t really understand why she’d still want to be friend with people who she had dated but if that made her happy so be it. If anything, this meant that they could still be friends, right?

“Adora is my-” began the feline but was interrupted.

“-Ex-girlfriend,” finished Adora.

And Catra felt her heart shatter.

Adora attempts to go back to the fright zone and convince Catra to come to Bright Moon, but in her attempt to escape, something goes wrong…

Life is sweet. Catra is now Force Admiral of the Horde, she has the respect she deserves, and her favourite Force Captain and steadfast opponent of the Rebellion, Adora, is always at her side.
All seems good, but there's a catch. Catra is doing her level best to ignore it.

Every time Adora sees Catra in the months that follow, it’s like standing on a stage.

Like every play, theirs has an intermission. In another world, it might be the moment when the masks come off and the actors remember that, at the end of the day, they are merely friends.

In this world, it is the moment Adora remembers the exact opposite.

Catra gets hurt during a battle and limps to a pond in the whispering woods. Deathly sick by the time Adora finds her, they'll have to face each other and work out what's really wrong between them before it's too late.

Adora is a detective at Bright Moon Intelligence, working all year to be able to leave her past behind and prove herself. But when the past creeps back into her life everything is thrown into chaos, Adora having to juggle the split life of working with her once friend and the agency all to solve the mystery of the drug Grayskull.

Catra, a senior Horde officer, has been the driving force behind a finally successful military campaign to invade and conquer the Kingdom of Brightmoon.

Along with her companions, Entrapta and Scorpia, her crack squad now is rewarded with a period of relative relaxation helping to facilitate the military occupation of the Capital.

But things take a shocking turn and Catra's life is turned upside-down when she encounters an old friend and lost love in possibly the worst and most challenging of circumstances… and while she wishes things could be just as they were before, how can she trust a relationship where she holds their very life in her hands?

Adora finds out her soulmate is her best friend's sister. Excited to meet her, she wastes no time in asking Bow to let her date her.

“What?!”

A six months after The Battle of Brighton everything has been at peace. Besides the Horde attacking everything.Adroa and her friends are given a mission to see the Debt Collector. A powerful girl who adds up the money and separtes it through Eternia.

The cadets partake in a Fright Zone holiday tradition: the anonymous gift-giving game, Secret Hordak. Meanwhile, Catra and Adora attempt to celebrate the anniversary of the day they met. Pre-canon and canon compliant, all cadets are nineteen years old.

Adora wants to reconnect with an old friend from foster care, but this friend is having a hard time letting go. Will a blooming romance between the two be the right thing they need this school year? Or will it hurt them?

The new girl at school can play guitar. And she's kind of cute.

It's a gray world. Quite literally. The Fright Zone is a city of colorless people. They are separated into Wanteds, Neccessaries, and Unwanteds. Unwanteds are weak because they feel, and they create. Every year on the Purge, all 18 year olds are Purged and put in their group. But when this years Unwanteds arrive, they find Bright Moon, a world of color. Adora is a Wanted, but when she accidentally finds Bright Moon, she has a change of heart.

What if Adora got her sword and returned to the Horde, but at the cost of Catra falling into the Rebellion? Can the Princesses even stand against She-ra, trying to unite Etheria under the banner of Hordak and for the honor of Greyskull?

Tis the season to get roped into writing wintery and christmasy themed drabbles! I'm not sure how many there'll be or what characters I'll focus on, but they're too short to post individually and I figured I'd be like all the cool people who have a dedicated drabble fic, so here it be

Finding a sword in the Whispering Woods launches Adora's career in the Horde. It's proof that what Hordack has been telling her has been true all along, and it's the power to make his cause a success.

Adora is at the height of her career. But when a spontaneous trip goes awry, she finds she can't get these weird thoughts out of her head. Her world changes, but is it for better?

This was wrong.

So wrong.

For both of them, really. But with how cruel life, destiny, and all of Etheria had treated them, with how they had to sever their life long attachment in less than a day… Adora felt like someone owed her an apology.

And if the only thing the universe can offer is lying in bed with her alleged enemy to fend off those sleepless nights?

Then so be it.

When all is said and done, only those who survived are left to pick up the pieces. The battle for Brightmoon took more than what was once thought, especially with the Horde charging through the whispering woods and taking out anything in their path.

Even after the fighting is over, the world still feels as though it's crashing down. Sometimes all you need is the feeling of a warm glow on your face to keep you going at the end of a sleepless night.

Entrapta makes an interesting discovery about some minor Horde tech. Shadow Weaver, disgraced, stripped of most of her power, and suffering as Catra's servant, takes advantage of her find. Her first step: getting Entrapta's perfect loyalty. Her ultimate goal: vengeance on Catra…

The day before Bright Moon's biggest festival, the Celebration of Love, Adora receives a mysterious love letter. She has a pretty good clue who sent it, but what is she going to do about it?

One more blue scribble at the bottom of the page drew her eye, and her fingers tightened on the paper enough to make it rip. In Adora's childish handwriting, underlined three times in crumbling wax, was one more phrase.

I do actually have a sort of plot in mind for this so bear with me and we'll ride this out wherever it takes us

It is important to have a wide range of potential role models.

Adora is cursed. In every life she has with Catra, they fall in love but something happens and they fall apart. There is nothing Adora can do to fix it. So she learns how to cope with the fact that her and her soulmate aren't ever going to get their "happy ending."

Until one lifetime, she discovers a way to finally get the happy ending the two of them deserve.

She was getting progressively worse.

Shadow Weaver said that erasing Adora's memories of She-Ra and the Rebellion would fix things. And Catra was naive enough to believe her. No, desperate enough to believe her.

Catra just wanted things to be normal again.

Was it all just a bad dream? Catra wishes it was. But no, this was real; the tears, the deaths, everything. It wouldn't stop. Catra was so sick of it, she just wanted to wake up to a day she hadn't lived so many times before.

If only Adora could embrace her, hold her tight, and tell her everything is going to be fine. But of course, she's part of the problem, too.

Time loop AU

So, Adora and Glimmer have started to make it official, but will a trip to Mystacor with the other princesses test their relationship? Given the fact that these two are too gay to function sometimes, there's only one way to find out.

A sequel to the previous fic in this series. Expect shenanigans as always.

Things haven't been good in the real world, so the population has elected to ignore them and spend all of their time in Etheria- a virtual reality landscape and system that encompasses business, sports, and social life.

Adora spends her time in Etheria as She-Ra: top of the scoreboards, shooting champion, number 1 at anything she puts her mind to, with only Catra as any real competition. Adora doesn't know if She-ra has brought her closer to her former friend or pushed her further away, or how long they're going to be able to run from reality.

It's Adora's first Christmas in Brightmoon and to say she's uneducated about Christmas is an understatement.

Bow and Glimmer make it their personal mission to educate the ex-Horde soldier but when Catra makes a surprise visit, it's a Christmas that Adora will never forget.

Entrapta is about to make a startling realization, and she's not quite sure what to do about it. What follows is an attempt to understand the most unpredictable of all human outliers - love.

A short little Entrapta/Scorpia fic that came to me last night that kept me from sleeping peacefully until i started it.

“Hey, maybe this is fate.” “If this is fate, it’s stuck in effing traffic.”

Uncertain about anything in her future, Catra’s spending her nights driving a car that’s she doesn’t even own as a Uber Driver, of all terrible ways to pay the bills, but as the days progress, it gets harder and harder to keep herself together, to keep her head out of her terrible past.

24 year old Adora was supposed to be hot shot, supposed to be destined for nothing but success, but now her life is beginning to spiral. She’s working a terrible temp job in Upper Bright Moon till midnight only to get up at five in the morning working a shift in a cafe so her best friend’s dream doesn’t go under.

And then one night she finds herself as a passenger in Catra’s car.

Adora and Catra grew up in the worst neighbourhood with the worst foster mom. Glimmer grew up in the richest neighbourhood but that doesn't always make her life easier. They're so different but something keep bringing them closer.
They won't accept that, they're totally incompatible and anyway, they're not dykes, that's bad.
Or maybe they're just young and can't help it.

Thanks to a massive budget cut schools had to combine into one: Bright Moon Achedamy.

Catra just goes because she doesn't want to have to go back to the group home, although which is worse? Facing emotions head on and seeing the person who hurt you the most every day or facing the same crap you've faced your whole life?

But is Adora right? Could they actually be friends again?

Group therapy.

Two words, only a few syllables long, yet it invoked so much dread from her. Adora glanced through the rearview mirror only to catch her mother's intense gaze. Right. There was no talking herself out of this one.

Ever since she was little, probably around seven-ish, she had been coined with the term “suicidal” and “depressed”, sure “anxiety” was thrown around a lot too but she didn't particularly define herself as an anxious person. Anxiety was for people who had actual problems and she did not fit the bill on that one, mister. All of her problems stemmed from one thing and one thing only: shitty genetics. Or so say the numerous doctors and therapists that she has seen lately.

“If there was ever a time for an all-out charge, this is it,” Glimmer shouts. “We’ve been too weak in the past – but we’ve beaten them before! We can take back Netossa's kingdom and beat them again! We’ll show them the might of the Princess Alliance!!"

The room falls silent. Glimmer’s voice echoes off the walls and the parapets, resounding, rebounding, like a general, like a real princess would.

"WHO’S WITH ME?!” she cries shrilly, voice cracking.

The echoes die down, flowing past the waterfall and out into the open air. Glimmer swallows and clenches her fist, gazing around the table as strong and imposing as she can. And then –

“Road triiiiiiip!” Perfuma sings out.

Adora wakes up.

She's never held a sword in her life.

"She knows Catra. Knows how she operates, how she thinks. Her disdain for words and endless talking. She doesn’t run on logic, or thinking things through. She runs on impulse, on instinct. She won’t be reached by talking this out. She doesn’t WANT to be convinced. Adora swallows. It’s time for her to act on impulse as well."

Some time after the battle for Brightmoon, the war rages on. Adora has accepted that she will never be able to convince Catra with words, so she takes a risk - she lets Catra know how she feels. She must deal with the fallout of exposing her weakness to her enemy, and navigate the shifting boundaries of their relationship as Catra tries to press her advantage. Meanwhile, Catra knows that being an ideal Horde commander means attacking your enemy where they are vulnerable, but if she takes this strategy, she won't be able to avoid confronting her own feelings.

Season 1 AU Ending. Bright Moon stands, but Adora has been captured and taken to the Fright Zone. While Catra tries to figure out how She-ra's sword works, and struggles with her unresolved feelings for her ex-friend, Shadow Weaver has an agenda of her own…

In another world Adora did something a little crazy. In another world the sword still awaits its hero.

When Glimmer is captured while looking for First One tech she discovers unexpected allies in the Whispering Woods. When one of them proves to be the legendary She-ra she runs into a bit of a snag: How does Glimmer convince her to join the rebellion's cause?

"You're catching feelings!" Bow laments.

"Catching… feelings?" Adora asks, and Bow nods enthusiastically.

"Catching feelings, crushing, total heart eyes, going goo-goo for Glimmer!"

"I'm going to be honest," Adora says, "I don't know what that means, but I think you're right."

Glimmer's mom wants to set her up with a boy from an ally kingdom, but Glimmer isn't ready to give up on the epic love story she deserves. The only out is for her to already be in a relationship, and Adora volunteers. After all, what are friends for if you can't count on them to be your fake girlfriend so you can have the epic romance you've always dreamed of?

Glimadora week days 1-6!

After finally getting out of the Horde Orphanage, Catra is enrolled in Bright Moon High. Everyone there is too cheerful, and what she hates most is the fact that her former childhood friend is also a student.
There's no way she's forgiving her for leaving.

When they used to draw pictures together, hiding from Shadow Weaver and pretending to be superheroes, Adora and Catra thought that would be their future.

Now they’re separated and Adora is going to attend Bright-Moon University, pretending to be a grade-A popular student while inside she crumbles under the weight of being She-Ra. But when she arrives in her dorm, a familiar face is waiting, and she has secrets of her own.

Glimmer goes into the desert in search of a couple of dead goddesses, and finds way more then she bargained for.

After the plan to rescue Glimmer goes sideways and they lose one of their own, Adora blames herself. She goes out in the Whispering Woods to clear her mind and train. But when her path crosses with an old friend, she can't help but try and patch things over her own way.

Rated Explicit for later chapters.

Glimmer is coming to terms with her feelings to Adora. When Queen Angella discovers this she wishes to help her daughter find happiness. Much to Glimmer's dismay her feelings are obvious to everyone but Adora.

Adora and Catra used to be best friends, or maybe something a little more than just… friends. When Adora escapes her old life and enrolls in Etheria University, their relationship is broken and Adora must pick herself up and put herself back together. With the help of her new friends and newfound family, Adora might just be able to fix her broken heart.

Adora and Catra are inseparable. Or so maybe they thought. When they finally arrive on their first day at Etheria High they expect the year to be the best with each other. Later on, jealousy afflicts and tension rises between the two best friends causing a rift and unknown developed feelings for each other.

Short hurt/comfort fics exploring Adora's adjustment from Horde Soldier to Princess . It's not going to be an easy adjustment, but luckily she has her friends to help her along the way.

“Why are you here?” Adora asks.

Catra steps in close, gratified when Adora takes a shaky step back and then another, til her back is up against the wall of the gym. “Would you believe that I missed you?”

When Adora transfers from Horde Academy to Bright Moon Prep in their final year of high school, she and Catra pretty much stop talking. Until they don't.

When Adora tries to leave the Horde Boxing Club and live her own life, she learns that Mrs. Weaver has other plans.

A series of one-shots in the life of Catra and Adora, pre-canon. All the times they looked out for each other, all the fluffy feels. Because it's gonna be a long damn wait till next season. Eventual romantic scenes, as well as childhood stuff, all in a big jumble because these two have loved each other from the moment they met.
