The unwritten rules that govern the fights and outright wars between ‘capes’ have been amended: everyone gets their second chance.  It’s an uneasy thing to come to terms with when notorious supervillains and even monsters are playing at being hero.  The world ended two years ago, and as humanity straddles the old world and the new, there aren’t records, witnesses, or facilities to answer the villains’ past actions in the present.  One of many compromises, uneasy truces and deceptions that are starting to splinter as humanity rebuilds.

None feel the injustice of this new status quo or the lack of established footing more than the past residents of the parahuman asylums.  The facilities hosted parahumans and their victims, but the facilities are ruined or gone; one of many fragile ex-patients is left to find a place in a fractured world.  She’s perhaps the person least suited to have anything to do with this tenuous peace or to stand alongside these false heroes.  She’s put in a position to make the decision: will she compromise to help forge what they call, with dark sentiment, a second golden age?  Or will she stand tall as a gilded dark age dawns?

Taylor is chosen as a Champion of the balance, and is given power by God herself in order to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

When I was reborn into the Worm-verse, I kinda expected to Trigger at some point, if only to ensure that whatever demented ROB stuck me here was entertained. However, I never would have imagined ending up with the power to literally cut my opponents down to size. Still, at least now Lungs not the only Dragon in town. And I'm much more dangerous.

New Dehli is recovering from Behemoth's attack. Full, uncensored footage of the battle has been released online. Heartbreaker's mansion is far away from any cape tragedy, but the real world is about to sneak in, and it has a serious vendetta.

When one reaches the bottom, the only way to go is up. Taylor takes a few extra seconds in an emergency to help an acquaintance, and breaks the story . . .

Taylor triggers with the tinker ability to make Pokemon. Things sort of take off from there. This Taylor will seem a little different from canon Taylor because she triggered at a different point.

Twenty years after the events of Worm, humanity struggles to continue on. A severely diminished population and shattered infrastructure has left humanity in dire straits; some places live in relative closeness to the modern day, while others are closer to the dark ages. Strange creatures roam the lands, people gain super powers, and even basic commodities like gasoline can be hard to secure.

The story focuses on a young man named Jordan, a mercenary with simple dreams. But dreams are always difficult to realize, and sometimes a person is pushed in strange directions. And in this dangerous world, sometimes it’s the ones with hope that will suffer the most, and be the most dangerous.

The world first saw Harry Bailey in a photo kneeling on a road before the Endbringer the Simurgh. The Simurgh's psychic scream drove entire cities mad. In Harry, it woke something else entirely. He never told the heroes what happened. After all, how could a young boy explain memories he could not possibly have, of a powerful, ancient sorcerer from a universe that preceded his own?

Granted powers from another world, Taylor Hebert must deal with a world of Capes who want to kill her once they discover that she can permanently steal powers.

Sometimes two minds aren't better than one. Driven to the verge of suicide by bullying, Taylor gains the ability to copy powers permenenatly...and minds, memories, and emotions. As she struggles with depression and the drastic changes that each new 'self' creates in her, starting with Sophia, she also tries to create a movement and be a hero. But punching someone is far harder than fixing the broken world, especially when you're a girl with a broken mind. Psychological. Mentally mixed-up Taylor.

A girl in CUI-dominated Korea gains powers. She soon finds herself on the run from Yangban enforcers.

A series of semi-connected extra interludes and follow-up chapters that take place before and after the timeskip in Tabloid. Contains worldbuilding, humour, feels, insight, character development, and original artwork illustrations to complement the story.

A minor change in her trigger event leads to a different expression of Taylor's power. Faced with a power both ridiculous and terrifying, how will she deal with the path laid out for her? Welcome to my new quest. Now, first and foremost, I have run quests before on different sites, under different aliases, but I've never precisely run something on a forum like SB/SV before. It's a bit different than what I'm used to, but I'll try my best. I'm used to a very fast-moving quest, a post every ten minutes with instant votes, but I'll try to keep the pace a bit more sedate for this new environment.

This is a Worm Quest, and you guys are going to be playing an original character who knows... well, a lot. Almost as much as someone who'd browsed through the story knows. His name is Echo, and he is a parahuman who has lived and died and lived and died repeatedly for centuries. His memory isn't quite perfect, and he doesn't quite know everything... but he gets the gist.

His power doesn't quite fit the 'theme' of normal powers- almost on the scale of an Outside Context Problem- and there's a reason for it. Only time will tell if you learn precisely why that is.

You are Olivia Trebilcock, and you're going to have to deal with mental stress, school work, your foster family, and a plethora of other problems. At the same time, you should also get your parahuman career started.

AN: The basic premise is this: shrines from LoZ Breath of the Wild appear in Brockton Bay, as well as a tower and sheikah slates, and they grant all the powers they do in the game. People start completing the various challenges, competing to get the most spirit orbs. This is not video game mechanics though, those are silly. The one good thing about this is it isn’t an alt-powers, so be glad of that. The bad thing is I will most likely horribly mangle whatever character is chosen to be he protagonist.
