The unwritten rules that govern the fights and outright wars between ‘capes’ have been amended: everyone gets their second chance.  It’s an uneasy thing to come to terms with when notorious supervillains and even monsters are playing at being hero.  The world ended two years ago, and as humanity straddles the old world and the new, there aren’t records, witnesses, or facilities to answer the villains’ past actions in the present.  One of many compromises, uneasy truces and deceptions that are starting to splinter as humanity rebuilds.

None feel the injustice of this new status quo or the lack of established footing more than the past residents of the parahuman asylums.  The facilities hosted parahumans and their victims, but the facilities are ruined or gone; one of many fragile ex-patients is left to find a place in a fractured world.  She’s perhaps the person least suited to have anything to do with this tenuous peace or to stand alongside these false heroes.  She’s put in a position to make the decision: will she compromise to help forge what they call, with dark sentiment, a second golden age?  Or will she stand tall as a gilded dark age dawns?

Taylor Hebert triggers in the locker but instead of finding bugs she becomes the administrator of... weather! Shaker powers are neat. Also the justice system is less incompetent than canon. Gonna go off the canon rails pretty quick due to butterfly effect, but will hit some of the stations.

The path laid out for Taylor and her story still must follow what is set, and her destiny entrenched in a trail unbroken. But what happens when a curious entity in a pickle stumbles across this broken girl, and offers the chance to open a new doorway to a world once lost on this Earth, a world simply waiting to be reborn from what was shattered long ago.

Sarah Livsey, analyst for Heinz & Heinz Inc. is tasked with delivering something for her Mexican client. This sparks a gang war in the island of sin, Brockton. Now she has to survive and find a way to get herself and the Undersider's out of the mess.

Instead of Endbringers, a different kind of menace makes itself known, forcing any sort of cops and robbers game into the back of anyone's mind. Survival of the human species against such a threat was more important, and anyone who took advantage of that was dealt with swiftly. The PRT is hiring more and more people for their hunting squads, no matter the age, and with benefits like that it's hard to say no. Especially if you're wanted for murder or a lot of armed robberies.

Conspiracies collide and terrible plans are put into action. Heroes and Villains escalate to ever-more-incredible heights in the wake of the events at Brockton Bay. World-ending threats rear their heads. None of this is enough to stop the Hebert family and their friends from stealing all the things.

During Scion's rampage, a wounded Taylor is inexplicably displaced. She's discovered by a very nice murder-doggo and his horned handler.

Three young girls, each burdened—one struggles with hopelessness, one plays villain to help those she loves, and the last strives for vengeance.

In an entirely different Earth Bet, Taylor Hebert never doubts her decision to use her superpowers to revitalize Brockton Bay's dying shipping industry. She isn't the only one with big plans, though. Taylor triggers with the tinker ability to make Pokemon. Things sort of take off from there. This Taylor will seem a little different from canon Taylor because she triggered at a different point.

Taylor can make magic rings, wondrous metals, mysterious weapons, and may not be a parahuman--or, indeed, human--at all.

When considering the Simurgh, it is fair to theorize that all of canon was a Simurgh plot to put Taylor in the best possible position to save the world. But what if the Simurgh decided to take a more direct role in shaping Taylor's story? Short answer? Butterflies. Lots of them. Long answer? Read on!

Twenty years after the events of Worm, humanity struggles to continue on. A severely diminished population and shattered infrastructure has left humanity in dire straits; some places live in relative closeness to the modern day, while others are closer to the dark ages. Strange creatures roam the lands, people gain super powers, and even basic commodities like gasoline can be hard to secure.

The story focuses on a young man named Jordan, a mercenary with simple dreams. But dreams are always difficult to realize, and sometimes a person is pushed in strange directions. And in this dangerous world, sometimes it’s the ones with hope that will suffer the most, and be the most dangerous.

An 8-year-old gains powers after a suicide attempt gone wrong, and has to deal with his depression and absurd amount of power. Begins a few months before Worm starts. Powers are based on the Avatar, combined with a variant on Labyrinth's power.

One day a door appeared on a wall on Brockton Bay, a wooden french door, painted a nice green, a single wooden pane with a white curtain behind it and a sign saying open in between. Above the door also appeared a bronze plaque stating “Item Shop”. Through the door stands the shop of the Bay’s new rogue, offering a selection of almost fantastical items and rumors.

The world first saw Harry Bailey in a photo kneeling on a road before the Endbringer the Simurgh. The Simurgh's psychic scream drove entire cities mad. In Harry, it woke something else entirely. He never told the heroes what happened. After all, how could a young boy explain memories he could not possibly have, of a powerful, ancient sorcerer from a universe that preceded his own?

Taylor's trigger was interrupted by a very different source of power.

Granted powers from another world, Taylor Hebert must deal with a world of Capes who want to kill her once they discover that she can permanently steal powers.

Taylor is kidnapped and stuffed into a cryopod by a Grineer science/raiding party in 2009 while at summer camp. The Grineer’s ship suffers a malfunction and is trapped in the Void. Taylor wakes and is eventually discovered by a Tenno party.

A minor change in her trigger event leads to a different expression of Taylor's power. Faced with a power both ridiculous and terrifying, how will she deal with the path laid out for her? From sb: I’ve read several stories where an alt!power Taylor (usually Tinker) gets kidnapped/blackmailed into working for Coil when, in canon, he was much more inclined to use the carrot as opposed to the stick when it comes to his subordinates. I wrote the first chapter as a one shot, showcasing how Taylor might willingly end up working for Coil and posted it in the Worm Idea Thread. Got enough of a positive response that (once I settled on a plot) I expanded it into a full story.

After narrowly avoiding a painful end and with Empire Eighty-Eight threatening the city, Shadow Stalker finds that being a survivor isn't as simple as she once believed.

Runaway Capes have a tendency to stick together. They also have a tendency to make bad decisions.

Basic premise is that the SI arrives at the worst possible moment, when the original team drops Cadmus's ceiling on Blockbuster. The Worm half is where the powers come from. I honestly debated handing him Kaneki's powerset from Tokyo Ghoul but decided that would be too angsty.

The most cliche Wormfic premise (an alt-power Taylor with everything else unchanged) and the most cliche Familiarfic premise (Louise summoning someone other than Saito Hiraga) aggressively mash themselves together to form... something. Taylor literally falls out of the filthy locker and into Halkeginia, and voidhax and shardnanigans interact in weird ways. Also, not as much escalation as one might expect. You might like it, I dunno.

You are Olivia Trebilcock, and you're going to have to deal with mental stress, school work, your foster family, and a plethora of other problems. At the same time, you should also get your parahuman career started.

AN: The basic premise is this: shrines from LoZ Breath of the Wild appear in Brockton Bay, as well as a tower and sheikah slates, and they grant all the powers they do in the game. People start completing the various challenges, competing to get the most spirit orbs. This is not video game mechanics though, those are silly. The one good thing about this is it isn’t an alt-powers, so be glad of that. The bad thing is I will most likely horribly mangle whatever character is chosen to be he protagonist.
