This is a shortish story based around Taylor and Greg, set at some indeterminate point before she gets her powers. It has no bearing on the larger universe. Based on a prompt that Darik29 offered me. The chance of writing Greg Veder as the actual legitimate hero of the piece appealed to me.

So, what if there was a situation where Greg actually managed to rescue Taylor from a horrible situation? How weird would that get?

Taylor Hebert was put in the locker by powers. She was kept quiet at Winslow because of powers. Taylor had no value without powers. So what happens when Taylor decided some, do not need power?

Taylor is killed and she slips through the cracks, falling into the ever widening Abyss. She’s called soon after by a Thorburn Heiress.

Taylor Hebert is kidnapped or rescued (depending on your perspective) by the company Slut Life. She's given the pitch–work for Slut Life for a year, having sex and being generally slutty on live TV–and she would go home with massive rewards. About to refuse, she realises they can give her the one thing she really wants …
… her mother.

So, with Anne-Rose alive, she fills out her contract and sends it in. Of course, after that, things get … interesting.

What if, instead of getting powers, Taylor opened a pizzeria?

An AU where Taylor never triggered but decided to become "strong" in order to stop Emma and Sophia from bullying her before Christmas her freshman year of high school. She eventually escalates this idea into making a plan to clean up Brockton Bay, but there's only so much she can do without super powers. Taylor doesn't let that stop her and begins working toward her goals. And although she starts alone, she eventually finds friends and allies among the parahumans that reside in the Bay.

This, coupled with her parahuman power lead her to go on all sorts of fun and enlightening adventures! She’ll go to interesting places at interesting points in time and all the while definitely not slowly going crazy co-co puff bananas from all of her neurosis and mental issues!
