A bad day and alot of frustration pushes Taylor too far and wakes her mothers legacy. Now Taylor has new powers and responsibilities but that doesn’t mean she can’t have a little fun.

Saitama finds himself in a new world — different from his own, yet very much the same.

A game will be played. And it will leave a mess in its wake. A game of life and death at their absolute extremes. A game of Eight Heroes trying to claim the Ultimate Reward.

But the game is yet to be played, it's too soon, as the Players aren't ready, and their guardians are scattered, some yet to even meet their wards. Besides, Agents must be employed to both set it up and clean after it.

And so we watch a 1997s Brockton Bay serve as an initial stage. Where both the misplaced Agents and the guardians would converge.

Taylor is killed and she slips through the cracks, falling into the ever widening Abyss. She’s called soon after by a Thorburn Heiress.

Some time ago when I started thinking about a Worm fic, I had three ideas that came to mind. One turned into Taylor Varga, which grew rather out of hand, although I regret nothing! One I did about eight chapters of, but shelved for the time being as it was rapidly turning into something ridiculously complicated. I may come back to it at some point in the future even so. I've lifted a few bits out of it for Taylor Varga, so it wasn't a waste of time.

The third idea was the one behind this beginning. Whether I'll go on with it at some point I don't know. I quite like the idea, but I haven't decided exactly how it would work, aside from it being an AU of Worm that breaks entirely with continuity some years before the start of canon. No Scion, that golden idiot makes the entire setting almost impossible to end properly without nearly everyone dying or a huge deus ex machina, so he snuffed it at the same time as Eden. Less powerful Endbringers, for the same reason, although still insanely powerful. Basically, tilting the field a little more towards sanity.

It would have been fairly dark even so, although not Worm dark. I didn't want to mow down entire worlds full of people…

An AU where Taylor never triggered but decided to become "strong" in order to stop Emma and Sophia from bullying her before Christmas her freshman year of high school. She eventually escalates this idea into making a plan to clean up Brockton Bay, but there's only so much she can do without super powers. Taylor doesn't let that stop her and begins working toward her goals. And although she starts alone, she eventually finds friends and allies among the parahumans that reside in the Bay.
