Bakuda is nothing more than a footnote in the Parahumans universe, an insane terrorist who was defeated at every turn until her death at the hands of Lung in the Birdcage. Who was Bakuda? What did she hope for, dream for? We follow the story of Ellen Chua, a sophomore student double majoring in art and business-econ at Cornell University as she struggles with the pressure to succeed. Bakuda wasn't a good person. But perhaps she is worthy of sympathy.

I’ve read several stories where an alt!power Taylor (usually Tinker) gets kidnapped/blackmailed into working for Coil when, in canon, he was much more inclined to use the carrot as opposed to the stick when it comes to his subordinates. I wrote the first chapter as a one shot, showcasing how Taylor might willingly end up working for Coil and posted it in the Worm Idea Thread. Got enough of a positive response that (once I settled on a plot) I expanded it into a full story.

Taylor Hebert is unknowingly the descendant of a long line of Saiyans but she doesn't discover her true power until she is rescued by a mysterious martial artist.

BIND itself is not your typical Worm fic. While it follows a parahuman and deals with them frequently, the story is more akin to a detective novel than a superhero one. Specter is essentially a serial killer, and the main character is someone dead set on finding him. A good portion of the narrative will be focused on interviewing witnesses and uncovering clues. That said, it’s also character heavy rather than action. Not that it won’t have it’s exciting moments.

When a butterfly flaps its wings in China, it can cause a hurricane in Mexico. So, what happens if a Lung flaps its wings, trips and knocks itself out in Brockton Bay, right at the feet of an unpowered Taylor Hebert? Well, apparently, it leads to everyone across the US believing she’s a Parahuman, no matter how much she tries to convince them otherwise.

Taylor never escaped the locker, her life ended there and on the brink of oblivion the gears of Destiny came to a screeching halt and shattered into million pieces as instead of a girl with a Power to control insects a Lion that Ruled over a Kingdom stepped out of it. A life was hidden in a single moment, many adventures that took less than an instant, decades worth of days seen in a blink of an eye… Taylor Hebert never escaped the locker but it doesn’t mean that her Tale was over, it just now was not the first Tale that she had lived through.

You were someone important. A Heroic Spirit. A King. A Hero. But nothing is as you remember, the world is different, the people were strange, and you have a feeling that you were doing something vital to the survival of humanity before arriving at Earth-bet.
